our hearts numb with no glee
though we know you were set free . . .

Constance, congratulations on receiving Honorable Mention in my Straight One-Rhymed Englyn poetry contest! This closely describes the cemetery where my father was laid to rest in 1985, also “beneath the weeping tree.” Thank you for sharing your memory which brought back mine.
