We can't go on like this

We can't go on like this
Conflict spiraling like a tornado
Disrespect as if it is normal
Threats that are labeled criminal
Corruption bleeding within
Fights without normal discussion
Judgement where it doesn't belong
We can't go on like this
Humanity does not survive,
this kind of hatred, lawlessness, division
We find peace in the creation we are granted,
without realizing it sits back watching  us
While it's gambling on the edge of destruction
We can't go on like this
Letting seething evil penetrate life
As love dims like a candle in the night
