We Are Not Terrorists
Oh! I see tears in the heart of Africa
Why would this come from America?
We are still mending our mean malaria
Why would you bless us with black bacteria?
Umar Farouk Abdul Muttalab was a black, bold egg
Hatched under a white, wretched hen with erring eggs,
He learnt to be bad not in the shores of our land
So, why would you add our name to this bad band.
I am sorry if your name is on the roll,
White caterers are the author of this egg roll;
I wonder why a noble nation will be stigmatized
For the fault of one acclaimed Nigerian who felt traumatized.
We are not terrorists… not dark but dutiful
We are a nation, black, bold and beautiful
Nigeria may be weeping and wailing
Yet Nigerians keep steady…sailing.
