We Are Not So Different

I'm a Catholic,You're a Muslim I'm an Orthodox ,You're a Protestant I'm a Hindhuist,You're a Buddhist You're an Atheist,and I am a Mormon too. You're an African,I'm American You're an Asian,I'm a European You're a Mexican, I'm an Indian You're an Arab,I'm a Jew But prior to all our distinct differences I'm a Mother ,I'm a Father I'm a Sister,I'm a Brother I'm a Son,I am a Daughter and I'm Human just like you.

WoW! Charma, I loved this piece and it's message. This poem moved and touched my heart. At the end of the day no matter what our differences are, like you expressed so well, we all are apart of the human race. The fact alone makes us all not so different. Excellent job. A Big seven and straight into my faves:-) Alexis

This was beautiful and such a wonderful message in your words. It is true, we are not so different, any of us because in the end we are human beings and we all love, cry, hurt, smile and feel, just as everyone else. Incredibly wonderful Charmaine.

We are all a purpose, in which we teach eachother the meaning of desire Charma. There is clear beauty in this poem of altruism...J.A.B.

So true and a very important message in your poem. As per your poem, labels are not important, but only the love you show in your various roles.

Collectively we are humankind, 'lacking' in human kindness it seems when it comes to anyone different than ourselves. We'd be so much better off if everyone could rise above ignorance. “What a sad era when it is easier to smash an atom than a prejudice.” ? Albert Einstein
