We Are No Longer Friends

I can’t sleep tonight
She says.
Because he smiled,and said
Will see you tomorrow then
Before he waved and disappeared
Into the crowd of night runners
And she looked at his back
Wishing,
Praying that she sees another day
And to see him,
And to wear that new dress
To show him she can be feminine
To bend the line of buddyism.

I can’t sleep tonight,
She says
Because when he smiled
It was a nervous crack
A smile o a beautiful woman.

Tonight she thinks,
That he knows,
Their friendship is over
She won’t sleep tonight.

This is a good poem. Parting is always painful. She is also hoping to see him another day. Very touching. Keep writing. - Thanks for reading my poem Knowing Myself. It is a nice feeling to be admired. -Moammad
