We Are Coronavictorious

Like a bolt from the pit of hell you appeared And stealthily like a thief in the night You entered into our lives Disguising as our familiar foe Masking your deadliness in controversy And like the serpent in the Garden of Eden You bought our connivance to denial of your sinister presence All the while bidding your time for pandemic descent on humanity And when we innocently looked the other way You pounced on our haplessness and helplessness And descended on us with lightning speed From Wuhan to Italy From Italy to France From France to Spain and America And from America to the rest of the world You dehumanized us You humiliated us You demobilized us You dis-focused us Causing segregation among us You separated us You trivialized all our efforts to get even with you You truncated all our plans for the future You stultified all we have stashed away for the rainy day You demoralized our populations Locking them down in anger and hunger In addition, making them to see their God in bad light As they are shut out from their sanctuaries of hope Even though you have continued to assault our sensibilities With the number of fatalities we have counted globally I am glad to disappoint you Serendipitously we have been demystified by your pyrrhic victory Now we know the rich and the poor are vulnerable We have been humbled by your challenge Making us more united to fight a common enemy Our scientists have been stretched by necessity the mother of invention We have equally discovered our good leaders The bad ones we shall flush out at the polls Mr. Corona virus I have another bad news for you You have been pronounced dead in the spiritual realm And so your physical interment is just weeks away For we all are Coronavictorious!
