Way To Long

Way to Long

She came to me with tears in her eyes.
I didn’t know the reason, why?
All she wanted was a shoulder to cry on, and strong arms to hold her.
She always turned to me when things went wrong.
Not knowing how I felt for her. I keep it to myself.
My love for her was so strong.
We had been friend’s way to long.
No matter what happened, we were always there for each other.
She turned her head to me to say something.
As I turned our lips touched and I didn’t stop
I put my arms around her and pulled her closer not like a friend this time.
I kissed her and she didn’t pull away.
Whispering in her ear, darling do you want more?
Her response was we have wasted too much time.
We have waited
Way to long.
