Waters of Sanguine 3
Waters Of Sanguine 3
Dark yellow sands, coarse, raw in nature, sweeps the landscape
Their dome shape dunes and mountains in the thousands
Reach for miles high
Clear vision for over fifty miles to the horizon in each direction
Gives an idea of the planet’s size
It must be gigantic with low density and mass
Pastel pink orange sky stretches to infinity above and up
A fragrance in the air is detected with hints of saffron
Bright silver waters settle on this silent planet
Somehow out of place
Distant solid small bold sun casts its red eye on all
No creatures, no vegetation, no soul to this dead world
Plenty of sand swirls around the globe
Though no life at all, it is a friendly place
Bearable gravity, breathable thin air, temperate worldwide
I landed months ago low on provisions
Actually it was a crash
My space craft broke in two
But who is there to listen
Surviving solely on Sanguine’s silver waters
With clear tones of cinnamon and lavender
Rich in minerals and taste, it keeps me living
There is nothing here to eat
Void of trees and people
Exploration and discovery is all I do
No one knows my situation or location on this desert orb
I walk for miles every day but must return to drink
If you've seen one sand dune you've seen them all
And endless grains all look the same
Only the water here is my friend
Keeping me alive
What kind of life is this
Simply to survive
To wake up every day to watch the sand
And do it all again till every grain is counted
My thirst for life is running dry
