Water's Might

When misty clouds begin to cry,
crystalline drops fall from the sky.
Rainbows form where droplets split light,
reminding us of water's might.
Water quenches a thirsty Earth,
and Nature understands its worth.
Rivers run blue or angry white,
reminding us of water's might.
As solid, liquid, or vapor,
water's a chisel-like scraper.
And it gouged the Grand Canyon site,
reminding us of water's might.
Water's as essential as air
or light; we're very much aware.
Oceans support life without light;
reminding us of water's might.
