Waterlily

Betrayal
Like a phoenix 
Except 
I’m rising from the water
Taking flame when I touch air

Redemption 
Like a hero
Except 
I’m no better 
Than the enemy now

Fire
In my eyes
Except 
The flames of my hatred
Will last for eternity 

Loathing
Can change you
Except 
I don’t feel changed
I feel free 

Betrayal
Can only get you so far
Redemption
Will only give you so much
Fire
Can only get you destruction 
Loathing
Will only give you a death wish

I have a death wish 
Of 
Betrayal
Redemption
Fire 
Loathing
