Waterfall

Heavenly thoughts, rings of water do flow....
Sunlight reflecting obscure vision perturbed
Who do you say I am? I surely don't know
I cannot answer for the water is disturbed.

As the deer come to sip, I also sip slow
I wonder who she is ...says my sorrowful soul
I don't see clearly so how could I know.
With waterfall near,my blurred image does flow

Afternoon glints on water now still
I know who I am now as I deeply think
I see my soul now perfectly clear.
As within the depths while I pause for a drink

Heaven awaits me pondering my fate
Now clearly I see who I am sitting here
I must return home for it's getting late
Thinking so deep with waterfall near

Very descriptive piece, Cheryl. Waterfalls are extremely alluring. Lovely piece to read. Barry.

Beautiful with great imagery. You captured the scene so well. Love the rhyme and rhythm of your poem reflecting the flow of the water. Great job.
