My favorite places.
Color the wind a swirling blue
‘Gainst a splash of crimson sky.
Paint the marshes a dozen greens
With egrets white flying by.
Wash the sand with a golden glow,
Make jetty rocks glistening black
Show beach umbrellas in rainbow hues,
Where white-capped waves roll back.
Paint me an evening strolling here
The heat of the day gone by.
Color the smell of the salty spray
Sending sparkles flying on high.
Oh, give me that watercolor life
By the shores of an ocean wide.
Paint me a palette of sea and sky
And evermore there will I bide.
