Water Walk
Water Walk
Walking on water sounds crazy
In a storm far crazier still,
But two men were doing just that
Some two thousand years ago.
Fishermen rowing all night
So troubled and weary and worn
Would they ever reach the shore
Or was drowning their doom?
Wow! Look! A ghost out there
Safe walking on waves as if on dry land
“I’m Jesus” He said, so don’t be afraid
And Peter got out of the boat.
He walked on the water towards Him
Then he looked at the waves and not Jesus
Beginning to sink he cried out
He sure needed Jesus right now!
So Jesus stayed true, reached out his hand
And rescued poor Peter at once,
And when Jesus stepped into the boat
At once the storm stopped for their good.
Matthew 14:22-33
‘Turn your eyes upon Jesus’.
