Water of life in its spiritual sense
I’m God’s Word upholding each trusting soul
solid upon faith in the Saviour
secured around His love-propped fortress.
Quenching thirst with sweet divine refreshment
I’m the water* flowing from the Lord’s heart
bringing fullness midst discontentment angst
shaping vessels for sharing pursuit.
Toward oblation of gracious savour
wafting mercy and truth-redolence blest
I’m the water in the apothecary's bottle
spraying peace along forgiveness bliss.
Soak yourself in my therapeutic tub
be strengthened by the Lord’s healing power
offered with His sanctifying assurance
inside your prayer-meditation haven.
*John 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again. John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
