Water

Deep as the ocean
Falls in love like rain
But her heart is as cold as ice
She's a vapor in the air.

With soul as pure as the sea
Her happiness rages like the river
She is no different to a water
She's something I can never hold.

I agree with John down here. That is a great metaphor for someone that you can never hold.
