Water
A flash a gleam a sudden stream
Slipping out of a hole like a snake
Her strength her flowing escape
A symbol of life she travels from
hidden places by routes that she creates.
Walking endlessly from rivers to seas
She lives within you and me
I hear her now without listening like
I breathe without thinking
She flows over rocks and drops without blinking
Music to the ears a dozen different notes
The pitter patter of rain
The thrill of a rivulet or roar of spate
Or just the constant lapping of the waves
Flowing into cracks and crevices or even caves.
