Watching You Go

Sitting next to you, watching your world fall apart.. holding your hand while you slowly fade away, and it breaks my heart. Looking at your kindness with all of your wonder. Listening to the sound of my aching soul beating as loud as thunder. Talking to you, holding your hand.. I am baring sadness and it's hard to understand. How I love you, the world may never know, Remembering you loving me and watching me grow. This sad pain inside that i feel is me watching you go. I wish i could be there right by your side. Kissing your cheek, holding back the tears and whispering it'll be alright. you gave me the best years of my life. Before I was a mother and before i was a wife. I'm gazing and staring up into darkened skies. Watching you go..and a little piece of me dies. Watching and letting you go, it makes me feel alone and scared. But one thing I will always remember..is how much you actually cared. I can't describe in words..how much this hurt stings. But what I can imagine..is how lovely and beautiful you will look with your new set of wings. this was dedicated to my great grandmother. we were very close and she was a magnificent woman. I love you grandma. rest in peace.

Laken, I know exactly how you felt. I lost mine some years ago and we were so closed, I miss her everyday. I wrote one it's called "Hush my baby don't cry for mama." I'm sure she was proud of you :) Hugs :)

Thank you and I know she was. She passed in 2008. I will definitely be reading that one. She was always my rock and knew what to do. I have almost lost everyone that I ever held dear. it's strange really.
