Watching the Sunrise

I watch the rising sun's
radiant, rosy touch,
change dawn's pale gray cheeks
to a spreading pinkish blush.

And as silver golden ribbons
unfurl in the air,
that's Heaven adding adornments
to dawn's glowing hair.

Author's Note. If you, too, are inspired by sunrises
and sunsets, I'd love to read your descriptions.

I too, relate so well to sunrises. Several poems I have written evolve around them. Yours gives still more insight to the dawning of another day. Thanks for your contribution, and for comments you have made on my writings. Colan Hiatt
