Watchful Angels

An angel watches over us all through our life, Assigned by our God, so we deal with our strife; Guardians of goodness they do all that they can, Whether we know or not, they lend us a hand. When we are lost in confusion of chaos or sin, Abandon us not, they are with us thick or thin; Whispering sweet praises for changes take heed, Messages of true care, our God loves us indeed. There are dark angels who feed us nothing but doubt, For their master of pure darkness is all he’s about; He promises us much to be right by his side, Cave into his power and then find out he lied. Yes a fight keeps raging over each of our souls, Most surely a battle as we deal with our woes; The trouble we have is not seeing the big picture, Wrongfully we find strength in striving to be richer. With faith in the light of goodness, we can find hope, Giving us the power of love, so we righteously cope; So listen to the whispers, stand up and stand tall, The truth comes from angels, who watch over us all.
