War-Time Memory

WAR-TIME MEMORY
During air-raids in London, we would huddle under the stairs, Mother, Brother and I. Minimal protection against a direct hit, but something. I would feel Mother flinch when one landed nearby. But not me. My worry was spiders. Safe under the stairs Not concerned by falling bombs Afraid of spiders 26th June 2020 A Memory Contest Sponsor - Line Gautier

Strange how every individual perceives his/her own fears to be the greatest. Human nature. Loved how you transformed the tense situation into a light one Bryn. Congratulations on your win :)
