Warriors Reflection
Blade and shield
down
I kneel by the
stream
Never ending
battle
with beasts it
seems
Gazing at my
reflection
If not a warrior
what instead
As the water ripples
and I see
a gash from which
I bled
This time the beast
got me
older I'm not quite
as fast
Now fighting each
battle
knowing it might
be my last
One beast slayed
always
another to take
its place
Body feels so
broken
I wash blood from
my face
Ever tightly I
tend my
wound and carefully
wrap
Picking up my
shield to
my leg my blade
i strap
Striding over
to my
most trusted
black steed
Aside from my
weapons
this beauty is
all i need
I swing onto his
back
as I see the sun
is rising
I go galloping off
to the
next battle
on the horizone
