Warm Weather Silence

No mower today
The silence is beautiful
Perfect warm weather
I wonder about neighbor
Usually mows daily
But pandemic keeps me back
I love this non- mowing sound

Oh, what Sounds of Silence those non-mowing days are!!! I like those darn power mowers about as much as I like motorboats on small lakes. They call 'em 'stinkpots.' I don't have a word vile enough for power mowers, esp. on small lots in the city where I am. I use a hand mower and it does a great job. Oh, well. It should b e my worst problem, I guess. I have a neighbor who has a disability which has kept him from driving a vehicle. He is in his sixties, and the only vehicle he is allowed to drive is a riding lawn mower. He is mowing every day; and I mean every day if the weather is not freezing rain. I get tired of the constant drone.
