Warm Me

Warm Me

turn your face
my sun
warm me

your name is my breath
intake, life sharp
and clear as glaciers
just fallen snow
one thousand years ago
forever deep as infinity.

your body true north
toward which I shall always turn
though we may be leagues apart
as Orpheus, I will find you
even in the farthest
corner of death
for our music
is speech and saviour.

Love is never lost just out of sight for a time. Jannie if you can feel you can acquire such a love.

It was a poem to my beloved expressing his place in my life and how I value our relationship. He was my true north. Not even death will separate us. He was my sun. Hope that is helpful I will find him again.

I read this one Yesterday, but could not find the words to comment, and thought perhaps with a clear head in the morning I would understand it better, but no. I do however enjoy poetry that has a mystique quality, which this does. Your body true north?

Ahh to be warm, I yearn for it. Nicely written Patricia, a finely tuned piece you have created. Regards, Craig
