Warm Autumn Into Windy Night

It is late September again.
Under a warming sun, your hand holds my hand.
Now the horizon sits – a silent spectator.
When gently huffs the wind,
twilight cascades upon my skin.
We lay in misty vapor from 
dusk’s bursting promise
as ink paints a panorama of primrose.

As luminous streams of stars 
paint my poetic sky,
stirring my moon-swept soul,
soft fire is his eyes.
I glow through starlight,
embracing our marrow’s warmth.
Let the strongest of winds come -
our hand hold will never end.

Wow, this must have taken you awhile. It fits really nicely. You really created a beautiful poem here. I love CayCay's "our hand hold will never end" finale, along with beautiful lines from Nette and Ink. I really should have used Ink Empress, she has a gold mine of cool phrases.

Thanks for recognizing how time consuming this was. I really like yours too. Seems we are both Caycay fans. I was surprised others did not take advantage of the "gold mine".

Applause!!! You did a great job. I know the contest isn't getting many submissions but the few I've read are fun (2 total, David C also borrowed from me.) Soup seems rather anemic lately in vague but definite ways. I hope you had a good time crafting this, it looks like it would have been a fun challenge.
