War Within

What is life all about?
I hear many different answers
shouting at me.
Drowning in a
sea of confusion,
I try shouting back but my
voice is lost.
I breathe as if I’m
a vacuum.
Sucking all the screams up
as if they are dirt
Silence….
I speak.
“Jesus” is all I say.
My voice is finally heard.

Hi Shannon! Yes, talent most definitely runs in the family! What a joy to have you here! Though I have no doubt you want to be appreciated for your own style, I need to say I sense a similar gift between you and your mom. Extremely inspirational and quite an excellent write. Perfect title with an awesome build up to a beautiful ending. Welcome aboard! (I adore your mom!) Love, Shar

Yeah, this is quite inspirational, I have always seen an inscription” Jesus is the answer” it is made clear in your wonderful piece. You may be surprised that we share the same mum, not you worry! I have her history in my diary, that’s all ( laughs) she is my mum on poetrysoup. It’s wonderful to have you around. Share the love… and keep writing.

A beautiful ending to a nicely penned poem. Welcome to Poetry soup. Your mom is a great friend of ours and the soup would not be the same without her. I am sure you will enjoy the time you spend with us, God bless you and your family, for it's a joy to have you here. I look forward to reading your future work...Raul
