War and Peace
Come hither and discard your heavy armor
and cleanse your hands of thine enemies blood
think not of war, or the carnage you reaped
rest your blooded sword outside my door
Come hither by my fire and rest your weary soul
and into the flames throw all thoughts of hatred away
then sleep and dream of peace and joy
as those whom you slain stand now before God-in judgement
Come hither now oh! victorious soldier
and await the morning sun to shine
let it's golden rays dry the wasted blood thou did spill
while through this night I whisper prayers to soothe you
Come hither while I dry your tears of regret and sorrow
as we kneel and pray for salvation of their souls
for as the religions that bound all men- have surely divided them.
