Walls 2

In my nightmares.

I see you sitting there.

Sitting alone at rivers edge.

I'm almost positive that you're dead.

Because you don't move inside my head.

Roses forming where thorns once fell.

He who desires but does not receive.

Conform to keep you inside prison walls.

Reality seeks fantasy in motionless stalls.

As prisoners keep their concubines tied up in knots.

Sounds like this poem is about confinement and unfulfilled thoughts and desires. Nicely done. Thanks for your comments Deb. I have been sick with a flu that turned into pneumonia so have been sick a month now. Just got onto another batch of antibiotics to try and clear it up. Thank you for thinking of me and asking. love phyl Happy Easter to you and your family.

a very interesting and profound one for symbolizing confinements, Debbie. I enjoyed seeing this newer post of yours today.
