A lovely suspenseful Cinquain which leaves our mind free to interpretation, Rick. I can also see this as a metaphor...man and beast. Regards // paul

Wow, congratulations, only one suggestion, "now past" would add the element of flow, IMHO. Fine piece though and a beautiful pic to accompany. Congrats on your placement too.
