Walk I, Naked Under Pallid New Moons

QUOTE: “The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.” ? Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walk I, Naked Under Pallid New Moons I that crieth with dawn's falling dew Accuser of this dark world and its hate Walk I, naked under pallid new moons With lingering hunger, nothing can sate As warrior, as a lover now stone-blind A dying soul, bleeding with ink and pen Dreams, myself in imaginative realms Away from this world full of darkest sin This heart and soul, each crying out for more And knowing Time will soon end this decay A ship never finding a safe harbor A ghost of dead dreams, now morbidly gray Pay heed, if thy soul seeketh Love's pure kiss.... For tis' Light and Truth that bringeth sweet bliss.... Robert J. Lindley, 1-15-2020 Sonnet, ( As Whispering Wind Swirls About, To Speak ) ( A pen allowed to such deep truth sing ) Note: Hold tight the moments that life gives the ecstasy of remembrances of sweet romance for day comes in which more in past one lives the more one sees that most of life is long-lost chance....

Wonderful line, "A dying soul, bleeding with ink and pen"; also, "A ghost of dead dreams, now morbidly gray". Great ending to this too.

It is "with lingering hunger" that a soul is kept enflamed with the desire to reach Love.. "Light and Truth"! It is with that bleeding pain and pen that a heart keeps throbbing with huge possibilities of knowing, healing and bliss. "A ship never finding a safe harbor"! A human soul never ceasing to embrace the darkest of dark to attain Light in moments in time. A poet of profound thoughts and feelings baring his heart to a masterful pen! A great work of Art and Light! A great pleasure to read!

Thank you my friend. Your insight and poetic heart sees so much. Yes, Light, Truth and Love are the triumphant three that we mortals too oft do not see or seek as we should. As a poet, perhaps one should endeavor to embrace the quest to improve and express clearly what the heart oft whispers... Yet this dark world and Life's many daily tasks/responsibilities too oft blinds us to such. God bless...

Thank you my friend. Your insight into this new creation is dead on the mark. All Life, as is the universe- a mystery and a divinely crafted gift.. Seeking, searching and pondering is a much needed activity if one cares to improve-both as a human being and as a writer/poet..

The deep melanchopy of truth is there in every line, with an important message to be heeded. Age will not thank you for youth's joys forgone.

Thank you my friend. One so much better sees the future path after it has been walked. Life is composed of Dark and Light. One is greatly blessed if the Dark was more often immensely overshadowed by the Light.
