Wake Up Wise Ones
Sometimes, in weak generalities we talk.
We believe in TV, podcasts or social networking?
Far from making us genius political hawks.
Believing, seeking out a new, far more weak king?
Dementia dances across our blaring screens.
Nobody mentions the eight hundred Chicago dead?
Falls and forgetfulness do reign supreme.
While naught but propaganda dances in our heads.
The Nazis removed all civil rights!
Fascism is guite alive and well here today.
Best read up on how anyone could be shot on sight.
Lies infected most bright brains, alright!
Good, working people are considered bad?
If not dirt poor, you are considered a creep.
Better wake up, we have been more than had!
For my country, America, I weep!
