Waiting On the Thunder

~ I was jarred awake by a storm last evening while dreaming of us, we were together and we were happy A bright flash of lightening ignited the evening sky flooding my room with light, allowing me once again to see that I was actually alone Stunned and saddened, I sat there in silence waiting on the thunder... it never came

i feel a strong sense of yearning in this one, the disappointment in the end with desire unfulfilled...great emotional write my friend... you have a way of pulling the readers in and making them see and feel what's around you...i like this, even in the sadness... excellent write, may your thunder come.... hugs :)
