Waiting On a Distant Shore

We’re separated by thousands of miles of ocean. However, I still can feel your every emotion. So many pleasant thoughts come from what you have to say. I feel a stronger bond between us each passing day. It does not seem too much of a distance anymore. You feel as if you are closer to me than before. If you are away for a long period of time, I miss you very much because you are so sublime. Each incoming wave takes away some more of the sand. I can almost hear your voice and nearly touch your hand. You must be standing on your beach far away. I wish I could bridge the gap and bring you here to stay. The sun’s warmth feels cold in comparison to your touch. That is only one reason why I love you so much. May a short passage of time bring you closer to me. What is merely a dream can become reality.

What a heartfelt profession of love for a woman who lives so far away, Robert. Is this Stephanie? You rock with romance, my friend! Love, Carolyn
