Waiting in Agony - revised

Silence in time halts
turns people to phantoms
futureless without past
     in twilight

Surprising how paper
comprises awareness
discredits 
     in bloodless ink

Your pen pierces surface
scratches dead stone
etches deep lines
     in absence

Poison in my veins
I beg you release me
save me
     kill me

Publishing is a work of love and not for money and giving away (mostly) the hardcopy to friends and family feels amazing... Darren White June 7, 2017 at 4:06 AM I am working on it. I have joined a forum to improve my writing, I get a load of immensely useful critique and I learn a lot there. I have sent in a number of poems for contests that award publication. You have such a unique way of saying things and in this case I believe interpreting things. It's like sitting there waiting for a phone to ring that never does.
