Waiting For Your Rain Dance
I’d rather be no one
Than just someone to you
I’d rather not exist
Than be part of the crew
I’d rather disappear
Than be unseen to you
I’d rather simply fade
Than not have proper due
I’d rather walk away
Than be another dance
I’d rather hide my soul
Than be second chance
You see, dear, I’m different
Not just part of a crowd
I’m unique, quite special
Does this make me proud?
I know what to offer
I know what I’m made of
I know when to play eagle
I know when to be dove
So my dear, I wait now
For when your eyes will see
The glory and splendor
Of a woman like me
You might be blind to color
Not see my lovely hue
Sweet and precious dear one
Here is a little clue
Multi-colored rainbow
I’m revealed after tears
I come to bring you joy
To banish gripping fears
Each and every color
Is there for you to see
But you only see shades
And not the real me
So I will vaporize
Much like the morning dew
I long to drench like rain
To soak you through and through
But you must long for me
A rain dance must perform
Then I will come real quick
Unleash my pent up storm
I will refresh your soul
Bring to life every dream
I will lead you by hand
To ever flowing stream
Once I see my beauty
Reflected in your eyes
Then I will hover near
Whisk you to paradise
