Waiting For Things To Unfold

Waiting the hardest lesson to learn
Waiting for others to move into their place
Waiting for the right time to do, to be
Waiting when there is nothing else one can do.

Waiting gives me a flat line
Waiting is like having this huge weight on top of me
Holding me down, holding everything down
Almost like the hands on the clock have stopped altogether yet time moves on

Sometimes I wonder if this waiting will ever stop
It scares me to think that it may not
Wondering if I will be waiting forever for something that will never be
Wondering if what I thought was, was not what I thought , Oh my

Some things are worth finding out
If I move on and leave behind what I thought might be
I will always wonder if I missed out on what should have been
So I must wait, it is a trial, it is a test of my endurance.
