1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” As I wait for the Son to rise, for hope to soar through the skies for the light of the world to shine so that grace and love are mine… I hear the tears His followers cried as they washed the body of Him who died for love that means our souls live on long after our bodies have gone. As I wait for this day to by, feeling the lonely in my cry I lift my eyes, seeking the One who brought love from the Son. I see the wonder so amazing my lips just keep on praising, as I sing to the Father who will surely save leaving an empty grave. As I wait for three days to pass the moments tick by, to amass more light than a heart can reflect with a love that is always perfect. I see the still, so gentle and sure reaching through shadows, a cure for all the darkness that abides beneath the changing tides. As I wait, for three long days my heavy heart surely pays remembering the love in His grace, oh, how I miss His embrace! I know that Jesus is the light that taught me wrong from right His love has been my guide throughout, oh how I’ve tried… to hear His word, His voice revealing my only choice the hope that made a way so I can always say… when He came back from the grave my heart, my soul, He did save and I know what it means to believe in love that can’t deceive – He is the One who came to say I am giving you a gift – you won’t pay even when you crucify me on a tree I’ll still save you and it’s completely free! He is the One who came to say I’m leaving you with love that is the only way wherever you go, whatever you do this love will always come through. He is the One who came to say listen, my child and just pray you’ll soon meet the One who rose to say I destroyed the darkness – that was yesterday… Today is a new day, a new chance to say LOVE is the story that God wrote that day!

Congratulations, dear poet, for your top win in this poetry contest with a splendid poem on resurrection of His Son. "He is the One who came to say I am giving you a gift – you won’t pay even when you crucify me on a tree I’ll still save you and it’s completely free!". So awesome and pathetic. Wish you a pleasant day filled with divine light.
