Waiting For a Shooting Star

I now fully understand,
The day is coming where I'll never be able to hold your hand,
A walk in the sand,
A fish on the line,
You on my mind,
There's one wish that I've wished upon you,
Keep me,
Inside the pocket of your blue jeans,
Baby,
I have a promise,
When or if you return,
You'll never be alone,
Please come home,
Even with him,
I am all alone,
I stay up every night,
Wishing that I could hold you tight,
I've lost all my might,
Inside this old car,
I'm wishing upon a shooting star,
You'll never be far,
A heart can travel far...

Nicely written....could understand the pain through your words.
