Waiting For a Girl Like You

Though oceans and miles
Are between you and me
Until we ever meet
I will think of thee

As i sit here at home
Such a distance away
Never seen you face
Or hear what you say

This foreigner boy
With eyes so blue
His hearts been
Waiting for a girl like you

For so long unloved
Flesh wounds on his heart
His willing to leave
And to make a new start

Another country
To call his home
Before this blue eyed boy's
Heart turns to stone

I have waited so long
To heal the hole in my soul
I want to know what love is
Lost love, has taken it's toll

I want love to feel like the first time
So don't let go
For this foreigner boy
Will love you so

The beat of my heart
Like a mountain of love
Until the end of time
Blue eyed boy and his dove

Different cultures mixed, equals double knowledge and learning. But what indeed if that pair united, become sighted, then maybe their tomorrows become excited <*> I've written a few poems Eloisa using the track titles from bands that I like. Thank you for your always kind comments, it sure makes me smile :)

Gee, I've missed so much, James! "Foreigner" is one of my favorite bands, especially "I Want to Know What Love Is." You set quite a mood in this amazing poem! Hope I can catch up on your work. Love, carolyn

Tell me, James. Have you meet that special blonde from your previous poem here on the Soup? Two love poems in a row... Now that's a new kind of history. Just wondering. I love the poem and is feels genuine. I guess I'm a little too inqusitive. But do I know her? Well, if I don't stop, there will be Soap on the Soup... So, you can ignore this if you wish. Take care friend poet. Lovingly, Dane
