Waiting

Today I got your call
Said you were on your way.
A task that is not so small
As we have longed for this day.

I am here waiting
  To see you at last
All these feelings I'm hating
   Because of my past.

I wonder of you will flee
  Or hug my tight
Whenever you see
  Me in the morning light.

Will you allow me to kiss?
  Or will you run away?
Will you feel joyful bliss?
  Will my fears you allay?

Tomorrow is the day
  When we shall see
If you decide to stay
  Or if you shall flee.

Wow, you hit on a very compelling issue...wondering if your love "will flee" once you are seen "in the morning light." Many of us have similar fears. I hope your love chooses to stay! Love, Carolyn
