Listen to poem:
At the feet of Jesus, I laid my broken body down He took my sin, my shame, my sorrow, my pain And turned them into a crown Into the hands of Jesus, I placed my life for Him to lead He took my heart, my soul, my spirit, my all And sowed in me a new seed Gentle Jesus, great healer, bright beacon in the dark Unblemished Lamb of God, Redeemer Good Shepherd of His flock Meek and lowly, perfect, Holy, Savior, Son, and King Loving, living, all-forgiving, those who call on Him In silent prayer I come, to Him and Him alone Confessing sinful thought and deed In truth and honesty, my heart for Him to see To purify, to sanctify, to hold me At the side of Jesus, it’s there I never want to leave And when my days on earth have ended With Him, I’ll always be It was the love of Jesus, pure love that bled and died for me And by His act of love, His cleansing blood I’m sealed eternally *Part VII
