Wait For Me Darling
You know I am in the ether, darling
You feel my presence, though we have not met
Do not settle for anyone less, wait for me.
I promise I will be worth the wait.
I feel you in the garden, tending your marigolds.
I see you in snapping fresh peas in my mind’s eye
We are worth the wait; do not settle, please.
Who am I to you? I am your future, and you are mine.
I come alone, with my hands open, my arms widespread.
I plead you wait for me. You will know when I arrive.
Do not settle. Do not be in a rush. We are meant to be.
I can see us cuddling and bundling, warming each other in winter.
I ask only one thing. Wait for me. I come alone. With open heart.
I am not there yet, but you sense me. You know I am close.
Please do not rush. Follow your soul, wait for me.
I am close, and I come alone.
