Wait

These eyes have seen a glory
that none can ever take
my soul belongs to one
who will never give it away
the world howls it rage at
his barricades
and all he does is wait
holding my soul so gently
but in a fist of diamond
he waits for the time
when all is ready
to call this soul
back home
