Wait

I want to break the world I want to watch as beauty is shattered Before you left You spoke of triumph and of glory The light I cannot comprehend Leaves with you In vanity I wished to conquer The beauty you exemplified To grasp it, to take hold Of that which I can only envy And now I am drowning in the goodness you left me The kindness that you guided me with I see your face in the strangers on the street I heard your voice in every earnest word I keep waiting for the moment when I will metamorphose And grow a shade closer to your gold.
