I was Vice President and Office Manager 
of William H. Haight, Inc.,d/b/a Haight Fire 
Equipment Supply for 20 years, from 1984 until 2004,
and I still use these skills to manage our retirement.

VP and Office Manager - PS

Though poetic in many ways,
   my other side also presents
good strengths in business skills, 
   and productivity that shows
command without pretense.

Assertiveness, decisiveness 
   take place in non-artistic ways;
accounting flair digs in
   for undertaking dreaded chores
like tax returns each year.
 
Supportive instincts always rise
   to organize and look ahead.
With honed computer skills,
   investment and financial sense,
my long-term goals are met.

The rigid business side of me
   helps organize my mundane world,
while the poetic me,
   coordinates my soulful sphere
when poetry unfolds.
