Linda Alice Fowler Poet Couplet

Voting Day

Today the world is crazy wrong,
Upside down and sideways long.

Political strife in a voting year
Brings about a heightened fear.

Red or Blue the fine line blurs
with Blue and Red casting slurs.

Casting slurs instead of ballots
Masks the issues and wreaks havoc.

What is fair and what is right
Lost within the coming fight.

Who may win and who may lose;
A ballot cast makes the news.

Media headlines of this morning
Change with afternoon reporting.

Opinions here, opinions there;
Think for yourself, taking care.

Tomorrow promises more of the same.
Let’s not continue as if insane.

Three more months till voting day.

If we can just keep politicians from rewriting it to further their own agenda(s), as they have rewritten history... :)

The Dems' message is so relentlessly negative that their current momentum may just wither away and hand Trump another 'shockeroo.' Anyway, the key to the future is really who wins the Senate. Even Biden can't do what he wants if the Senate stays majority Republican... And I agree with you about another 4 years with Trump. Far too much negativity in the world as it is. It is much easier for me to understand (I think) a businessman's mind than a politician's. ;)
