In the silence, I hear my own voice A whispered longing, a heart that makes some noise I reach for connection, a gentle touch But find instead a space that's too much The weight of unspoken words, a heaviness I bear A sense of longing that I've learned to share With every step, I search for a place to stand A sense of belonging, a loving hand In the emptiness, I find a quiet pain A sorrow that I've learned to contain But still I hold on to the hope that remains A fragile thread, a love that sustains 21 May 2025
