Voices

vOICES

When oh when...
Did the voices in my head,
Quieten and fade away,
Along with everything they said,
The put downs, the insults,
That plaqued me for years,
Telling me I am useless,
Reducing me to tears,
My mind now is peaceful,
My mind is now so clear,
I did not even notice,
The voices disapear,
They now have been replaced,
By a gentle summer breeze,
A melody so beautiful,
It brings me to my knees,
In this symphony of silence,
The only voice I hear is mine,
And underneath the darkness,
A light begins to shine.
