Voice In a Restless Night

Go to sleep, My love,
Rest your weary head,
You have a long day tomorrow,
Nothing should you dread.

Go to sleep, My love,
Give it all to Me,
Your burdened heart, your tears that fall,
Surrender and be free.

The night is dark and quiet,
It's silence you now fear,
Be at peace, the day is done,
And I am ever near.

Go to sleep, My love.

Ellen, there was a "lullabye" contest not long ago here and this would have been a wonderful entry for it. Your words are so soothing! Thanks for sharing your memories of New Smyrna with me. I am thinking of auditioning for a play at the New Smyrna Little Theater. I don't think I've been there yet, but all of the coastline here is quite beautiful. Love and blessings, Carolyn
