Vivid

I sit under this hollowed out willow tree
A shell of what it used to be

In the cover of darkness, it's where I'm free, it's where my scars can't be seen and my tears are hidden away.

Darkness, I'm forever it's mistress

The autumn wind rolls through the leaves
It pulls me in with a gentle cool kiss
I can still feel you on my lips, forever a stain on my soul

Yes, you left your mark

Forever gone, ages ago.
I've seen many changing colours since then
Why, even now I see your face in everything
I find you in my dreams
Always out of my reach
You are a beautiful demon, sent for me
You're so close, wrapped around me
This reality shifts

Beautiful colours swirl in my mind, so vivid

Surround me....

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
