Visit Days

Two hours a month, just you and me, Don’t care for the cakes, crisps or tea. My makeup’s done, my hair too. Getting ready for my date with you. I walk in; you’re looking at the door, Waiting for me to run across the floor. A chat and a laugh is just what we need, I’ll take what I can get until you’re freed. Love should be open, roaming and free, Not chained or dictated, under lock and key. When you kiss me, nobody else exists, Another swap of the hairbands on our wrists. How is it that time passes, slow or fast? A click of my fingers, our time has passed. When it comes to leaving, I hate to say bye. You don’t like it either, I can see in your eye. I want to take you out of that place, Can’t wait for the day, just to see your face. Soon they’ll be five visits, then four and three. Until finally the day, you walk out free.
